VICTORIA — British Columbia Premier Christy Clark has called two byelections for Feb. 2 to replace members of the legislature who ran for federal office.
Vancouver-Mount Pleasant MLA Jenny Kwan left her post on July 8 last year to run as the New Democrat candidate in Vancouver East.
Liberal MLA Doug Horne vacated the Coquitlam-Burke Mountain seat in August to run for the Conservatives in the October federal election.
Kwan won but Horne lost to a Liberal candidate.
