Kamloops’ Thompson rink alone in 1st at B.C. Scotties

KAMLOOPS — The Karla Thompson rink from Kamloops has taken over sole possession of first place in the round robin at the B.C. women’s curling playdowns.

With a 4-3 lead Thompson scored three in the 8th end and went on to a 7-4 win over Nanaimo’s Kesa Van Osch.

At 4-and-0 the Kamloops rink is alone in first place, ahead of 3-and-1 Kelly Scott.

Scott, the six-time provincial champion from Kelowna lost for the first time this week, 9-7 to Amy Gibson from Royal City.
