Snowfall coming to the Cariboo early next week

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — Time to dust off those snowblowers, Cariboo residents.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Doug Lundquist expects up to 10 centimetres of the white stuff to fall Monday night into Tuesday morning.

“It’s going to be cold enough… so, Williams Lake, 100 Mile House, Quesnel; that area could wake up to a pretty white morning Tuesday morning. There’s still some chance of snow earlier than that but the really cold air is for Monday night into Tuesday.”

He says this is not at all unusual for this time of year.

“Any month in 100 Mile House can get snow. I’m pretty sure they’ve had it in July. It’s October already.”
