CRD confirms byelection date for Electoral Area ‘F’

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) has confirmed a March 30 byelection date to fill a vacancy for director of Electoral Area ‘F’.

The area encompasses the communities of 150 Mile House, Likely and Horsefly, among others.

Conrad Turcotte was elected director during the general vote on October 20, but was unable to take the oath of office by the December 7 due to an illness.

Joan Sorley, who was the area’s director prior to the general election, has continued to fill the position on an interim basis.

Nominations for the position open on February 12, and will remain open until February 22.

Packages for potential nominess are available here or at the CRD office in Williams Lake.

Advanced voting opportunities will be available at the CRD head office on March 20 and 25.

Polling station locations for byelection day have yet to be finalized.
