Police investigating Williams Lake shooting

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — A man is recovering from non-life threatening injuries after he was shot just outside of Williams Lake last night (Feb.10).

Cst. Joel Kooger with the Williams Lake RCMP says the incident occurred at the brake check on Highway 97 just north of town.

"The police are asking the public who may have witnessed anything suspicious in that area between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. to please contact police."

He adds the investigation remains in its early stages and there is no more information available at this time.
