CRIME STOPPERS: A trio of thefts at local grocery stores

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Crime Stoppers is hoping for help from the public after a trio of thefts last week.

Crime #1

On Saturday (March 9), a man fled the Sahali Safeway store with a basket full of items.

  • White male
  • Tall
  • Slim build
  • Mustache
  • Wearing a black hat and light jacket

Crime #2

Last Thursday (March 7), a woman took a purse from the checkout counter at a North Shore grocery store.

Crime Stoppers says the woman can be seen on surveillance video taking the purse and shoving it into her backpack.

  • Aboriginal female
  • In her 60s
  • Short in stature
  • Long hair
  • Wearing black clothing, black winter jacket with fur-lined hood

Crime #3

On Saturday (March 9), a man is suspected of taking a purse from a grocery cart in the parking lot of the Northills Mall.

The rightful owner of the purse was loading groceries into her vehicle at the time, when the suspect ran across the parking lot, grabbed the purse and took off.

  • Brown facial hair
  • Wearing a fur toque, sunglasses, a black jacket with a fur hood, dark pants and dark shoes
