Kamloops Sports Council announces award finalists for HOF banquet

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Sports Council has revealed the finalists for the upcoming sports banquet on May 11 at the Coast Kamloops Hotel.

In addition to individual awards, there are four individuals (Earl Seitz, Paddy Harrington, Ted Pierson, and Tony Parker) being inducted into the Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame. 

Geroy Simon from the B.C. Lions is the guest speaker. 

Female Athlete of the Year

Kristina Dodd – Kamloops Gymnastics and Trampoline Club
Maddy Gobeil – South Kamloops Girls Basketball Team
Abigail Donaldson – Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club

Male Athlete of the Year

Gavin Dodd – Kamloops Gymnastics and Trampoline Club
Nick Sarai – South Kamloops Boys Basketball Team
Stanley Netherton – Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club

Coach of the Year

Dylan Armstrong – Kamloops Track and Field Club
Tim Unaegbu – South Kamloops Boys Basketball Team
