Hicketts gets quality ice time, plus-1, in second callup of the season by Red Wings

KAMLOOPS — Joe Hicketts played just over 23 minutes, the most of any of the defencemen, in his first game of his second call up of the season by the Detroit Red Wings.

Hicketts was held scoreless but was a plus-1 in Detroit’s 4-1 over Pittsburgh.

The 22 year old from Kamloops was brought up from Grand Rapids on Monday on emergency recall.

Hicketts played in eight games with the Red Wings earlier this season.
