KAMLOOPS — One of the TRU Wolfpack baseball team's leaders wasn’t even playing the sport just two years ago.

Liam Rihela was a highly-recruited baseball prospect out of White Rock, B.C., originally signing with Texas’ Trinity University of the NCAA Division Three.

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack came out swinging in the first game of the evening Wednesday night (April 17) against the Okanagan College Coyotes in Canadian Collegiate Baseball Conference action at Norbrock Stadium, scoring 16 runs in 12 hits.

KAMLOOPS — WolfPack baseball has its first loss of the season, falling 1-0 in eleven innings to the Okanagan Coyotes in the second game of a doubleheader.

TRU took the opener 8-4 and is now 9-and-1 on the season.

KAMLOOPS — If the Canada West University Athletics Association  membership votes to approve  women’s rugby sevens as a varsity sport, the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack will not be a part of it.
